Blackberry lemon smoothie
Like most people, I normally like my smoothies to be relatively sweet or even veggie based. But I decided to incorporate some lemons this time since I always buy them and add them to my water and tea. Lemons give a cleansing feeling and a refreshing taste. Why not try them in a smoothie? Even though this recipe is mostly berry based and calls for only lemon squeeze, you know a little bit of lemon goes a long way! Here's a different spin on the traditionally sweet, fruity smoothie.
You'll need:
- 2 cups ice
- 1 cup vanilla greek yogurt
- 2 cups frozen blackberries OR 2 cups organic blackberry juice
- 3 lemons
- 2 tbsp honey
Prep:
Add ice to blender. Follow with yogurt, blackberries/juice. Squeeze lemons fully into blender and add honey. Blend for 90 secs or until mixture is smooth (no chunks). Enjoy!
