Crock Pot Garlic and Brown Sugar Chicken Thighs
I'm all about ease and minimal fuss when it comes to preparing dinner. If you're the same you'll LOVE this thighs recipe! I was amazed at how little went into preparing this and how few ingredients were called for (Inspired by dinnerthendessert.com). The slow cooker and the meat truly does all of the work for you!
And with no broth or flour or salty liquid needed, this dish is perfect for the health conscious crowd. Low sodium for the win!
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook time: 4 hours
You’ll need:
5 chicken thighs
3 tbsp Minced garlic
1/3 cup packed Brown sugar
1 tbsp garlic powder Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Parsley and lemon for garnish
Instructions
Place chicken thighs, minced garlic, garlic salt and pepper in crockpot.
Mix ingredients throughout, leaving thighs turned skin up.
Sprinkle brown sugar over thighs.
Cook on high or 350 degrees for 4 hours. You can also cook on low for 8 hours.
Garnish
Once finished, Remove thighs from crockpot and sprinkle with parsley. Cut lemon slices and heat over olive oil on high in small skillet for about 2 minutes on each side. Add to chicken for garnish. I like acidity with my sweet flavored meats for balance so squeezing the remaining lemon wedge was the perfect touch for me.
Suggested Side Dish: Sautéed spinach paired so well with this dish. What doesn’t spinach pair well with though?
Enjoy!
